Investor Relations Associate – Northwind Group Manhattan, New York

Northwind Group is a Manhattan-based real estate private equity firm that focuses on debt and equity investments through its discretionary closed-ended funds and balance sheet direct investments. For over 15-years, Northwind Group has been involved in the acquisition, development, financing, and management of residential, commercial, and senior-living properties valued at $6 billion and covering a portfolio of 350+ properties and 44 million+ square feet. Leveraging its strong track record and market experience, Northwind Group focuses on generating attractive risk-adjusted returns while maintaining rigorous investment criteria and adhering to its core values of honesty, transparency, and integrity.

Northwind currently manages $2.2 billion across five closed-ended debt funds, co-investment vehicles, SMAs, and SPEs. We are looking for an

Investor Relations (“IR”) Associate

to join our dynamic team. This position will support both Northwind’s CRE-focused debt fund team and Northwind’s healthcare-focused debt fund team.

Role Overview: The IR Associate will support Northwind’s IR team, which serves as the primary point of communication for existing investors across all of the firm’s investment vehicles. A core focus of the role will be managing investor data and ensuring accuracy in reporting and investor communications. You will contribute to updating fund cash flow models and incorporating key accounting metrics that track performance and portfolio activity. In addition, you will assist with preparing monthly and quarterly investor reports, supporting capital call and distribution notices, and managing due diligence questionnaires and other recurring deliverables that provide investors with clear, data-driven insights into fund operations.

The IR team handles a wide range of investor inquiries, including those focused on performance metrics, cash flow projections, tax and legal inquiries, and due diligence analyses. This offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-level investor relations activities while working closely with key departments across the firm, including the Executive Team, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Acquisitions, Healthcare, Accounting, and Legal. You will also have the opportunity to optimize Northwind’s data management and streamline the IR team’s operational processes to improve investor communications and reporting workflows. Your contributions will help strengthen the IR team’s efficiency and ensure timely, accurate engagement with investors throughout the investment lifecycle.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual, capable of presenting information clearly and producing high-quality, institutional-grade materials for investors. If you’re eager to leverage both your analytical and communication skills to contribute to the continued growth and efficiency of the IR function, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Asset Management and Accounting teams to track fund and deal-level metrics, ensuring accurate performance data and integrating this information into well-structured deliverables. Execute mail merges and mass investor communications, including capital calls, distribution notices, tax documents, and reporting updates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in responding to a wide range of investor inquiries, including performance questions, questionnaires, data requests, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs). Create and update quarterly investor reports, marketing materials and prepare presentations ahead of investor calls and in-person meetings. Contribute to the launch and ongoing management of Northwind’s debt vehicles, including investor onboarding and communications. Support process improvements across investor reporting and servicing activities, identifying scalable solutions for addressing investor inquiries and enhancing the investor experience. Assist in maintaining Northwind’s investor database in Salesforce to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Support ad-hoc administrative projects and analyses as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and strong academic record. Strong Microsoft Excel skills including cash flow modeling and data analytics. Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint is also needed. 2-4 years of relevant work experience preferred (Investor Relations, Investment Banking, Real Estate, Accounting, Finance). Experience with fund accounting, investor reporting, or capital call/distribution processes is a plus. Experience with Salesforce or programming languages, such as VBA, is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to take on various responsibilities. Professional in nature with a high level of integrity. Authorized to work in the United States.
