is seeking a

Vice President of Operations

to join its executive leadership team. They are developing advanced biochemical measurement tools, enabling data-driven approaches to understanding individual health through genetics, environment, lifestyle, and clinical factors. This is a unique opportunity to shape operational infrastructure during a pivotal transition from R&D to commercial growth. This individual will oversee manufacturing, supply chain, quality, facilities, and program management--driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance across all functions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on leader, capable of building scalable systems, managing complex cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Partner with executive leadership to define and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals. Build scalable, compliant operations to support rapid growth and commercialization. Budget and Financial Oversight Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Monitor operational costs and identify areas for cost optimization. Negotiate with vendors for equipment, systems, and services to ensure high value and cost-efficiency. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Lead internal and external manufacturing operations, including contract manufacturers. Oversee global supply chain logistics to ensure continuity, efficiency, and risk mitigation. Develop distribution processes that scale with growth. Manage vendor relationships and procurement strategies. ERP Implementation & Management Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite). Ensure seamless integration of modules supporting manufacturing and distribution: Sales Orders, Production Orders, Inventory, and Procurement. Utilize ERP data to improve operational visibility, financial tracking, and decision-making. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to regulatory standards including ISO, FDA, CLIA/CAP. Oversee internal quality systems and maintain compliance across research-use and regulated products. Program & Project Management Drive execution of strategic and cross-functional initiatives across R&D, product development, and commercialization. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities. Manage resource allocation and capacity planning. Operational Excellence Continuously assess and improve operational systems, workflows, and KPIs. Implement data- and metrics-driven approaches to increase efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction. Oversee facilities management and infrastructure development. Team Leadership Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team across multiple disciplines. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership within life sciences, biotechnology, or diagnostics. Proven experience scaling operations from early-stage through commercialization. Deep expertise in manufacturing, supply chain management, and quality systems in regulated environments. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica or NetSuite), particularly for manufacturing, sales orders, and production processes. Familiarity with global compliance standards: ISO, FDA, CLIA/CAP. Demonstrated success in managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and financial oversight. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic execution skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic startup or scale-up environment.
