Responsibilities: Oversee and participate in all phases of the preconstruction and estimating process Manage bid solicitation processes and maintain accurate databases Prepare bid scope packages for trade partners and suppliers Develop project estimates, revisions, takeoffs, and review specifications Analyze drawings and project documents for accuracy and constructability Coordinate preconstruction RFIs and ensure document control Create preliminary project schedules and logistics plans Lead value engineering efforts to optimize project budgets and designs Review and negotiate trade partner proposals for scope and competitiveness Build and maintain strong client, design team, and trade partner relationships Document processes and maintain accurate project cost history for future use Represent the company at industry events and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements: Minimum 4 years of commercial construction preconstruction or estimating experience Proven background with CMAR and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, trades, and scopes of work Ability to lead independently while collaborating effectively with a team Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Valid driver’s license Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Preferred) Experience with preconstruction software such as On-Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, Concntric, or BuildingConnected (Preferred)
