Our client, a leader in gas & electric utility services, is hiring a Project Manager to join their team in Fort Wayne, IN!

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits and paid holidays**

As the Project Manager of New Business manages commercial, industrial, builder/developer, rural extension, and renewable energy projects providing an exceptional customer experience and attaining repeat business all while ensuring that the company meets its financial and program enrollment goals. The scope of this role includes new business gas distribution and electric transmission projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and analyzes complex construction drawings, permits, easements, agreements, and other miscellaneous documents for the design of gas and electric projects
• Works to provide efficient and timely completion of gas and electric utility projects through to the installation of the meter interfacing with internal departments to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Manages commit dates to ensure that all internal resources and materials are planned and aligned with customer’s site readiness
• Manages multiple electric and gas projects simultaneously at various stages of completion and recognize job site issues

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
• 2 years of experience in gas and electric distribution and transmission engineering principles.
• Ability to read/interpret construction prints, understand and apply basic surveying principles
• Prior New Business project management experience
• Prior experience with utility operations.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI
