Scientist II / Senior Scientist – Multiomics Product Development
Location
San Diego, CA (Sorrento Valley)
Proteintech Genomics is a fast-growing life science technology company at the forefront of
spatial and single cell multiomics . As a subsidiary of Proteintech Group, with access to a portfolio of over 15,000 antibodies cited in 100,000+ publications, we are building the next generation of
highly multiplexed, antibody-based assays
for cutting-edge biological discovery. We are seeking a
highly
motivated scientist
to play a key role in all stages of product development. In this position, you will move seamlessly from defining product requirements to designing and executing experiments, through data analysis and optimization, and ultimately to supporting commercialization alongside marketing and manufacturing teams. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be both
hands-on
in the lab and actively engaged in the broader
product
lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Concept & Requirements Contribute to defining product requirements by integrating scientific insights with customer needs and market trends. Evaluate feasibility of new assay concepts for spatial and single-cell multiomics. Design & Development Design experiments to establish assay formulations, antibody panels, and workflows. Optimize assays through antibody titration, validation, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with bioinformatics team on experimental design and data-driven decision-making. Testing & Validation Develop and execute rigorous test methods to ensure reproducibility and robustness. Perform quantitative data analysis using
R and Python , interpreting results in collaboration with computational scientists. Productization & Documentation Translate laboratory findings into finalized products, including preparation of
customer-facing protocols, application notes, and marketing materials Work with marketing to ensure scientific accuracy and clarity of messaging. Commercialization & Support Partner with manufacturing to transfer robust workflows into production.
