R10072661 Mechanic (Open) – Abita Springs, LA. Airgas Nitrogen Services is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to support customer service, N2 purging and inerting.
Position: Diesel Mechanic
Location: Abita Springs, LA
Compensation: $24.00 – $27.00/hour
Shifts: Daytime shift
Travel: As required to repair pumping equipment on work sites and district shops to assist in maintaining equipment
Job Description Summary
This position has the responsibility of offering support to mechanics in diesel automotive repair shops by directly helping with repairs and maintenance related tasks. This role provides an excellent starting point for new mechanics to gain familiarity with repair and maintenance processes and best practices while working directly under the supervision of more experienced professionals.

Required Qualifications
- +1 year of automotive maintenance/ mechanical experience
- Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools and equipment
- Must have our own basic hand tools
- Proficient in gasoline engine mechanics and preventative maintenance
- Valid Driver’s License (non CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience
- Cryogenics exposure/experience
- Hydraulic exposure/experience
- Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification preferred (Not Required)
