Your new role
As an Estimator, you’ll be involved early in the design phase, collaborating closely with architects, owners, and internal teams. Projects are typically ground-up commercial builds, including non-profits, churches, self-storage facilities, pre-engineered buildings.
You’ll be part of a relationship-driven environment where collaboration and communication are key. The company values long-term partnerships and often works on negotiated or select bid list projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients during early design phases to develop accurate project budgets and cost estimates. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, pricing, and bid proposals for ground-up commercial projects including churches, non-profits, and industrial builds. Analyze subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure competitive and comprehensive pricing. Participate in preconstruction meetings and contribute to value engineering and constructability reviews. Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to support negotiated and select bid opportunities. Occasionally support project management on smaller jobs and assist with business development efforts when needed. Track market trends, labor rates, and material costs to keep estimates current and competitive.
What you'll need to succeed
10–15 years of estimating experience with a reputable General Contractor Strong background in commercial construction Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
