The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover beeper call only. There are an average of 1-7 patients per shift. This locum pediatric hospitalist opportunity requires one provider who can cover both sets of dates and must have a clean file, as the November dates will require temporary privileges. The schedule is 24-hour call coverage from 6am to 6am, not required to be in-house, with urgent dates from 11/7 6am to 11/11 6am and 12/21 6am to 12/28 6am. NRP is required, and providers must be able to perform neonatal airway management including intubation, management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression, emergent UVC placement in the delivery room, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation, with preferred skills including ventilator management and chest tube insertion for neonates. Providers must have an active CA license, be board certified or truly board eligible within 3 5 years of residency, and have two years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty, with any gaps greater than three months explained. Privileging will not begin until the RFA and application are submitted, with a typical RFA turnaround of hours and applications expected within five days.
