Full-time Administrator SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under Administrative Direction, Broad parameters defined by organizational requirements and acceptable practices, the Administrator of Business handles all routine business matters for the library. Is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, and works with standing orders and magazines. The Administrator of Business provides support to the Associate Director of Finance in handling the duties and responsibilities of the Business Office and is responsible for the duties of the Business Office in the absence of the Associate Director of Finance.

ILLUSTRATIVE

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for processing claims and accounts payable checks. Maintains time sheets and records use of vacation days, sick time, etc. Responsible for processing payroll. Assists with the preparation of quarterly reports (PERF, 941,Unemployment). Assists Associate Director of Finance with entering purchase orders and encumbrances and updating financial reports. Assists Associate Director of Finance with reconciling bank statements and producing monthly financial reports. Responsible for business office records. Assists Associate Director of Finance with the W-2 preparation. Represents the library at staff functions and meetings as instructed. Responsible for daily deposits of fines and fees and all other receipts. Responsible for petty cash. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business with concentration in accounting or finance preferred; Experience working with yearly budgets in a non-profit organization.

SKILL AT:

Computer proficiency in AP/GL, payroll, spreadsheets, and word processing.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Accounting procedures, Federal and State laws and regulations affecting financial operation of library. Personnel practices. Procedures for operation of library.
