This position focuses on identifying and qualifying potential clients, building the top of the sales pipeline, and ultimately scheduling meetings for senior sales staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented communicator with a passion for both the construction and animal health industries.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead generation and market research:
Targeted prospecting: Research and identify potential clients, including veterinary practice owners, hospital administrators, and investment groups involved in veterinary real estate.
Market analysis: Stay current on animal health market trends, such as the growth of specialty veterinary hospitals, regulatory changes, or new veterinary practice ownership models.
Competitor analysis: Monitor competing design-build firms to understand their projects, marketing strategies, and potential gaps in the market.
Lead lists: Create and maintain targeted prospect lists based on ideal customer profiles (ICPs) for different construction project types (e.g., ground-up facilities, renovations, clinic expansions).
2. Outreach and initial contact:
Multi-channel outreach: Execute outbound campaigns via phone (cold calling), email, and professional social media platforms like LinkedIn to generate interest.
Compelling messaging: Craft and personalize email and social media messaging that highlights the company's value proposition and expertise in animal health construction.
Initial qualification: Conduct introductory calls to qualify leads based on standard criteria, such as budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).
Follow-up: Nurture potential leads with timely follow-up communications to move them through the early stages of the sales pipeline.
3. Relationship building and coordination:
Internal collaboration: Work closely with senior sales staff, estimators, and project managers to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.
External networking: Attend relevant industry events, such as veterinary trade shows, to build professional relationships.
Customer liaison: Act as the initial point of contact, ensuring a positive first impression and clear communication with prospective clients.
4. Sales process and reporting:
CRM management: Accurately track all sales activities, including communications, lead status, and progress, using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Meeting scheduling: Set appointments and meetings for senior sales staff with qualified prospects.
