Overview:
We are seeking an experienced protein purification scientist who does not want to be purifying the same material every day. Our team is delivering our client’s complex range of proteins from a variety of expression platforms (mammalian, insect, & microbial) thus providing a different purification challenge every day!
Experience to include:
At least 5 years work experience in a protein purification environment. Perform protein purification using a variety of techniques, including affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, and hydrophobic interaction chromatography. Operate and maintain chromatography systems (Bio-Rad NGC, ÄKTA, FPLC, HPLC). Familiarity w/ batch, drip, continuous, and HTP purification. Experience w/ large-scale mechanical lysis (microfluidizer) and clarification/depth filtration is an advantage. Familiarality with bi-specifics, nanoparticles and VLP purification is an advantage Experience purifying from multiple expression systems (E. coli, yeast, insect, mammalian) preferred. Develop and optimize purification processes for novel proteins is an advantage Proficient in data capture and analysis for report generation Working in a Quality Systems environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Competent in Microsoft products Qualifications:
Ideal candidate should have at minimum of BA/BS degree in biological science or medical technology or related science background Would be an advantage if candidate has performed protein expression/ cell culture, quality control testing and troubleshooting in the laboratory Agency Non-Solicitation:
