This position requires a deadline-driven and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for underwriting borrower consent requests, loan covenant review and monitoring, financial statement and rent roll analysis, watchlist/surveillance, reserve disbursement requests, new loan audits, calculating/coordinating loan payoffs, and satisfying investor requirements. The focus is on commercial mortgage risk management and customer service. The role involves enhancing business processes and providing expertise in underwriting consent requests and portfolio management. Ongoing industry training and mentoring to Asset Management Analysts will be required. Additional responsibilities may be added to adapt to company growth. Note:

This position offers a flexible work environment and is available for an immediate start. Specific Responsibilities

Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, servicing staff, and regional offices. Plan and schedule workload to efficiently meet department benchmarks. Manage a portfolio of Freddie Mac loans with varying requirements and regulations. Underwrite and formulate recommendations for lender consent of borrower requests, including lease approvals, maturity extensions, partial releases/substitutions of collateral, easements, condemnations, and ownership transfers. Monitor and follow up with borrowers on loan covenants to ensure compliance with lender standards. Analyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with investor requirements (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Companies, and others). Follow up with borrowers and management companies on variances and income/expense questions. Address deferred maintenance or issues identified during annual inspections. Review and recommend releases from reserves (replacement, repair, TI/LC, insurance loss). Monitor maturing loans and provide required notices to borrowers. Monitor and update monthly loan reports used by investors and management to analyze portfolio risk. Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure terms and covenants are accurately captured in the servicing system. Calculate and coordinate loan payoff requests, including yield maintenance calculations. Monitor and collect outstanding mortgage payments with documented collection efforts. Provide training and mentoring across the team on areas of expertise, including analysis, underwriting, and CRE knowledge. Assist team members on advanced consent requests and supervise write-ups and quality control as needed. Participate in presentations and classroom-style training for staff. Oversee assigned lender portfolios, maintain relationships, monitor tasks, and provide internal approvals of write-ups/recommendations. Minimal business travel (1-3 times per year). Conduct physical property inspections as needed. Collaborate with Portfolio Management leadership to achieve department goals/objectives. Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned within the department. What We're Looking For

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in real estate, finance, or accounting. A master’s degree is desirable but not required. Work Experience:

10+ years of commercial real estate and/or loan underwriting experience. Technical Competencies: Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Strong knowledge of commercial loan terminology Undewriting and/or lender asset management experience on multifamily and commercial properties Analytical and negotiating skills Understanding of commercial real estate finance and capital markets Professional Competencies: Leadership and training abilities Underwriting, modeling, and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication Customer service-oriented Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision Willingness to work extended hours when necessary Attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information Positive attitude in all situations Required Certifications or Licenses:

Desired completion of the Certified Realty Investor - Associate (CRI) or CCIM exams. MBA Inspector Certified. Benefits:
