Dates: November 14 - 15, 2025 Location: In-Person, The Midway SF, 900 Marin St, San Francisco, CA 94124 Rate: $250 / day About Music Expo Since 2014, Music Expo has served as a vital gathering for emerging and established artists, producers, DJs, engineers, and music creatives. Celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2025, the event returns to The Midway SF for two days of inspirational keynotes, artist-led masterclasses, hands-on tech workshops, and invaluable networking. This year, we’re expecting 750+ attendees and producing over 25 sessions covering songwriting, immersive audio, electronic music production, and career development. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a Social Media Lead to help us capture and share the energy of Music Expo in real time. You’ll be in charge of creating content on-site, managing volunteers, and engaging with our community across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and more. The ideal candidate is a storyteller at heart, thrives in fast-paced live environments, and knows how to turn moments into scroll-stopping content. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a live social media strategy for the event Manage and delegate tasks to a small team of social media volunteers Create and post real-time content (Reels, Stories, Photos, BTS, Quotes, Recaps, etc.) Engage with attendees and followers through comments, tags, and DMs Coordinate with the event’s Marketing, PR, and Operations teams Ensure brand tone and visuals are consistent throughout coverage Requirements
Experience covering live events across social media channels Skilled in content creation using tools like CapCut, Canva, and mobile editing apps Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, and X (Twitter) Knows how to delegate, multitask, and lead small teams Understanding of basic SEO and social media algorithms Comfortable using Google Workspace Self-starter, great communicator, and quick problem-solver Must LOVE music and have a sense of humor Must be available both days 18 and older Dates & Hours
