Position Title: Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion
Location: 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742
Assignment Type: Contract
Hours: 40 hours/week | 4×10-hour shifts
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Start Date: October 6, 2025
Shift Type: Day shifts only | No nights or weekends
Call Requirement: Possible Saturday call rotation (approximately once every 11 weeks)
Emerson Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion RN to provide safe and compassionate infusion therapy for oncology patients. The RN will administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy, monitor patient responses, and collaborate closely with the oncology care team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion treatments in accordance with physician orders and ONS guidelines.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to infusion-related complications.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and side effects.
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the infusion center.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and oncology best practices.
- Active Massachusetts RN License (required).
- Certifications:
- BLS (required).
- ACLS (required).
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification through ONS (required).
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of oncology infusion experience strongly preferred.
- Strong assessment, IV therapy, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
