is a large, fast-paced law firm seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individual for a full-time File Clerk opening in our Rockford office.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A FILE CLERK

As a File Clerk, you will possess excellent computers skills and be detail-oriented, protecting and updating files and making them easily accessible to colleagues. This will include file closure responsibilities. This position will be responsible for

This position will also assist with docket responsibilities. You will be responsible for insuring that all events are assigned proper and accurate attorney coverage. You will prepare and distribute daily docket reports. You will distribute documents and make them easily accessible to colleagues.

You will also provide excellent customer service to the attorneys, paralegals, and staff.

You will fill in as needed for the Firm Receptionist and Electronic Mail Processor. As the Firm's first impression in person or on the phone, you will provide excellent customer service to all colleagues and clients.

You will assist in pickup and delivery in the local area. You must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Records acquisition follow-ups

Administrative help to the legal assistants

Maintain and order office supplies

Set up for meetings

Enter accurate information into the database

Organizing and filing documents

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A FILE CLERK

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must have excellent computer skills working with Microsoft Office and office equipment such as a photocopier, scanner, etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Outstanding organizational skills

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple-large-volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range is $15.50 to $23.00 an hour. The salary offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
