Overview
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and reporting of accounting information to management, investors, and regulatory bodies. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly entries, financial statements and respond to regulatory data requests, cost of service studies and associated data requests. Reconcile account balances to the general ledger. Monitor accounting information and system of internal controls to ensure the Company's accounting practices comply with GAAP, company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned areas that includes resolution of accounting control & process issues and application of accounting & system knowledge in support of Company personnel.
Job Experience and Education
Bachelor7s degree in Accounting required
Advanced degree or certification desired
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and oral
Written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products - especially Excel spreadsheets
Knowledge of accounting theory
