Job Title: Entry-Level Staff Accountant
Location: Middletown, PA

Department: Accounting & Finance
Reports To: Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of accounting experience who are eager to develop their skills and grow within a professional accounting environment. The Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting various accounting functions to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Perform general ledger entries and reconciliations

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Assist in bank and account reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records

  • Help prepare supporting schedules for audits and tax filings

  • Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experience a plus)

  • Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progress toward CPA certification is a plus

  • Experience with ERP systems or cloud-based accounting tools

  • Familiarity with financial statement preparation
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is beneficial
