Overview TalentFish is casting a line for a

Software Engineer - DevSecOps . This is a 6-month contract role. The SWE-DevSecOps will build out and maintain the infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud foundations needed to support secure, scalable web applications, accelerate DevSecOps adoption, and ensure operational reliability.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent)

Minimum of 1-2 years of software engineering experience, may include internship experience

Proficiency in an interpreted language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.)

Experience with shell scripting

Experience working with a relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MariaDB)

Experience with a public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Preferred Qualifications:

Linux system administration skills

Experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)

Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker, Podman)

Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)

Experience using configuration management / IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform)

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position) Develop web applications, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage cloud infrastructure to support DevSecOps practices

Collaborate with other engineers to define and support infrastructure needs

Author internal and external documentation (infrastructure, processes, runbooks)

Respond to incident and issue reports: triage, implement fixes, and build regression tests

Support ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and reliability improvements

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $35 - $50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
