Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation in a food manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, packaging lines, conveyors, boilers, refrigeration systems, and other plant equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime. Install, calibrate, and repair motors, pumps, valves, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, and automated systems. Follow and document all maintenance activities in compliance with food safety (GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA) and OSHA requirements. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment issues and providing technical assistance. Assist with equipment changeovers, line setups, and continuous improvement projects. Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. Participate in safety programs and adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety protocols. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred. 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in food or beverage manufacturing strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot, cold, and humid environments typical of food manufacturing facilities.
