Locums - NP/PA Critical Care Toledo, Ohio Availability

Facility & Practice Details
  • Setting: Hospital-based, Level I Trauma Center
  • Unit: Neuro ICU (16 beds) + Neurosurgical consults
  • Trauma Level: Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • EMR: Epic
  • Lab/X-ray: Onsite
Patient & Volume Details
  • Patient Population: 100% Adult
  • Trauma Volume: 40%
  • Inpatient Only: Yes (100%)
  • Average Census:
    • Neuro ICU: 10 patients/night
    • Neurosurgery consults: 5/night
  • Supervision:
    • No other neurologists on-site during locum coverage
    • 2 neuro-intensivists available by phone overnight
    • Working alongside 3 Advanced Practice Providers
Licensure & Certifications
  • License: Active Ohio license required (no exceptions)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS - Required
    • ACLS - Required
    • ENLS - Highly Preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Must be Board Certified (PA-C or CNP)
  • Must have experience managing stroke patients
  • Must be comfortable independently covering a Level I Trauma Center Neuro ICU at night
  • Must be able to handle neurosurgical consults at night
