Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
- Perform thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans
- Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the Epic EMR system
- Manage pediatric and adult emergencies, applying current protocols and best practices
- Respond promptly to rapidly changing patient conditions and prioritize care efficiently
Additional Information
- Active North Carolina license required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Recent emergency department experience in comparable facilities is essential
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills are necessary
