Position:
Senior Maintenance Technician – Crane Inspector Shifts:
All shifts available; must be flexible for off-shift, weekend, and overtime work as required Compensation:
$25–$34 per hour (based on experience, skills, and shift)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Senior Maintenance Technician – Crane Inspector
to support advanced maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, and systems diagnostics. This is an expert-level role with a strong focus on
crane inspection and repair , ideal for professionals looking to further specialize within industrial maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in our crane inspection program, while also supporting general maintenance needs such as break-fix repairs, preventive maintenance, welding, machining, and more. Experience in
heat treat operations , leadership, and cross-functional support is highly desirable. Candidates must be flexible, safety-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes, hoists, and other industrial equipment
Conduct crane inspections in accordance with OSHA and manufacturer standards
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
Recondition and repair machine tools and systems
Operate machine shop equipment (e.g., CNC, lathe, drill press, grinders) for parts fabrication and repair
Perform welding and basic carpentry or plumbing tasks as needed
Maintain accurate records in CMMS system (maintenance logs, inspection reports, etc.)
Collaborate with team members and provide support and backup as directed by leadership
Ensure all activities comply with 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards
Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and cost-saving measures
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with crane inspection duties
Demonstrated mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing environments
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and crane safety standards
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
Welding and metal fabrication skills
Familiarity with heat treat operations a strong plus
Experience operating machining tools such as CNC and lathes
Crane Inspector Certification is a plus but not required
Proven leadership experience in a maintenance team setting Requirements: Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a similar industrial maintenance role
3+ years of leadership experience preferred, especially in heat treat operations
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Industrial Maintenance Technician certification or formal training preferred
Skills: Intermediate to advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Ability to work with HVAC, electrical systems, and industrial machinery
Strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
Characteristics:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Capable of following both verbal and written instructions
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Other Requirements:
Valid state driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Budgeting and performance tracking experience
Hands-on crane inspection and repair knowledge

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Work performed in a factory and outdoor job site environment
Must safely climb, bend, and maneuver around large equipment
Requires close and color vision for inspections and repair tasks
Operation of various tools and heavy equipment as needed
Occasionally required to lift/move items over 50 lbs
