Overview
Truck Driver/Operations Specialist at CHS Inc. Moccasin, MT. This role involves hauling fertilizer to local growers or to other CHS locations in the area. The schedule is Monday–Friday, daytime hours, with drivers home daily for supper. Overtime opportunities are available during busy seasons (spring and fall), and work may extend to 7 days per week during those periods. When driving is slow, this role may assist with on-site operations.
Base pay and benefits
Base pay range: $18.85/hr - $30.10/hr
This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, and $1,500 after one year in the role.

Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, perform general labor tasks efficiently. Responsibilities may include:
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading (sampling, loosening nuts, opening hatches, attaching/detaching hoses).
- Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using appropriate machinery.
- Conduct and document repairs and maintenance tasks; regularly inspect in-use equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality (blended, bulk or packaged product).
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, and feed to customer sites safely, on time, and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (pre-trip/post-trip reporting, load securement, Hours of Service).
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and conduct regular housekeeping; complete record keeping.
- Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal and warehouse duties (driving loader, loading/unloading, forklift operation, general maintenance).
- Report customer complaints, repairs, safety concerns to supervisor; uphold a strong safety culture and follow safety policies and regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Class A or B CDL
- Must meet minimum age requirement
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway signs and signals
Additional Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Class A CDL highly preferred
- Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
- Valid Class A CDL preferred
- Agriculture background and customer service experience preferred
- Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
- Pre-employment screening may be required based on job requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and into trailers
- Ability to work in dust, adverse weather conditions and temperatures
