What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Extract, clean, and join datasets using SQL and Excel; assist with basic scripting in Python or R for repeatable tasks
• Build clear tables, simple charts, and summary views to track trends, issues, and outcomes
• Run routine checks on data pipelines; flag anomalies and complete initial triage using SQL/Python under senior guidance
• Execute standardized data-quality rules and validation checklists; log results and update tracking artifacts
• Prepare slides and talking points that translate analytical findings into concise, actionable updates for project managers and stakeholders

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Health, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience
• 0–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data operations (internships, co-ops, or capstone projects count)
• Foundational proficiency in SQL and comfort with Excel; at least one of Python or R for data wrangling
• Clear, concise communicator with strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation and version control
• Public Trust clearance eligibility and U.S. work authorization required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Exposure to federal healthcare data or large, complex enterprise environments
• Coursework or hands-on work with VHA systems/data
• Experience with ServiceNow, Power Apps, or Power Automate for workflow/data pipeline tasks
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
