Senior Accountant Job at CV Resources in Santa Ana

Overview

CV Resources is partnering with a mechanical service provider in Santa Ana in search for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This role will be responsible for AR and AP, managing key aspects of the general ledger, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will also play a critical role in process improvements, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, HR, and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Review payroll entries as needed.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and decision support.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
