We are representing a leading, long-established manufacturing company seeking a skilled professional to join their dynamic and finance team. What we are looking for

Role overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with the AP/AR teams and provides a path for mentorship and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and post complex journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing insightful reports for management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
  • Support the Controller during annual audits and budget preparation cycles.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement best practices.
  • Partner with and provide guidance to the AP/AR teams to enhance workflow and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment is a plus).
  • Strong, proven knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
  • High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Alignment with a culture that values quality, service, and expertise.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior staff.
