Note: A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions and will be completed during the pre‑employment process. This does not apply in the states of Florida and Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients; support patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment
- Review patient health history to ensure quality care
- Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to supported dentists
- Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records
- Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols per OSHA and CDC guidance
- Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in fast‑paced, customer‑centric environments
- Dental assistant and/or x‑ray certification as required by state law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- HIPAA training and ability to protect patient PHI
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged sitting and standing; ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Occasional virtual or in‑person training sessions
