The Position Summary
The
System Director, Productivity Optimization
leads the development, implementation, and governance of system-wide labor benchmarking and productivity strategies. This role partners with clinical, non-clinical, executive, HR, and finance stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and labor optimization in alignment with industry best practices.
The Director oversees complex data analysis to support strategic planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making. In a highly matrixed environment, this position fosters collaboration and ensures standardization across healthcare delivery operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare operations and labor management. Experience with labor management systems preferred.
Key Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Understanding of healthcare productivity and labor benchmarking practices. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and labor management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to collaborate with clinical and operational leaders. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and lead a standardized system-wide benchmarking and labor optimization strategy, including governance frameworks. Design and implement staffing models and skill mixes that promote consistency, efficiency, and quality care. Collaborate with HR on position control processes to ensure cost-effective labor utilization. Monitor compliance with staffing standards and develop internal controls aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support organizational decision-making. Conduct research and integrate industry best practices in productivity and labor strategies. Lead productivity training programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Manage the process for evaluating and approving staffing model variances. Promote teamwork across departments to align labor targets and system goals.

Executes non-routine tasks under dynamic conditions using general guidance. Drives cross-functional initiatives without direct supervisory responsibility.
Working Relationships
Collaborates regularly with Directors, Executives, and cross-departmental leaders. Interacts with both internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels. Seniority level
