System Director, Productivity Optimization

Full Time Job Summary: The System Director, Productivity Optimization is responsible for assessing and partnering with clinical and non-clinical leadership, executives, finance and other stakeholders to implement benchmarking and labor strategies designed to improve performance system-wide and support industry best practices. This role facilitates the development, approval and implementation of standard labor practices across delivery operations. They are responsible for managing complex data gathering and analytics to present recommendations which support short and long-term planning efforts. Promotes a collaborative, open, and inclusive work environment within a highly matrixed organization. This position provides leadership in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices that support current and future labor optimization strategies. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: Minimum 8 years experience within healthcare operations and labor management. Labor management systems experience, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of healthcare productivity environment. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Working knowledge of labor management software. Advanced analytical skills. Excellent customer service skills. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Strong ability to interact with clinical leaders to drive performance improvement. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Develops a single benchmarking process and standard including the development of a governance process. Creates strategies to attain the system established targets along with timelines to achieve and maintain targets. Supports talent acquisition and enables optimal and consistent staffing models and skill mixes. Partners with Human Resources on standard processes and governance for position control designed to ensure consistent and cost-effective labor management and utilization. Directs and participates in the development, implementation, and consistent application of effective organizational policies, procedures, and practices, and optimal staffing models. Supports and develops internal controls to ensure that assets are safeguarded, policies and operating procedures are followed, necessary controls are effective and efficient, and compliance with current laws and regulations is achieved. Develops tools, monitors and assess whether benchmarking and staffing models are implemented, effective and performance is sustained. Supports and promotes benchmarking and staffing research of best practices, trends, analysis and strategies to support current and future operations. Reviews, prepares, analyzes, and presents reports and recommendations to senior leadership regarding operations, programs, services, and/or other applicable areas of interest in order to provide concise and accurate information that aids in decision-making. Leads the development and delivery of benchmarking and other productivity and staffing model-related training. Takes accountability for achieving system strategies and initiatives. Develops the process and governance for assessing and approving staffing model variances. Establishes and promotes teamwork and collaboration between individuals, departments, and the entire organization in the development of system-wide standards and targets.
