Corporate Safety Manager . This role involves developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines for the Mountain Point construction company. Work will primarily be within the Southern United States, including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, North Dakota, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, and Florida.

The construction projects include building renovations, repairs, new constructions, pre-construction services, IT and physical security upgrades, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and demolition. Civil and utility work will focus on electrical and underground water infrastructure, including potable water, stormwater, sewer, and earth-moving services. The Safety Manager supports the development of the safety program, SOPs, and fosters a safety culture aimed at zero accidents. The role involves improving safety and quality control policies, overseeing site safety and health officers, conducting training, investigating incidents, and maintaining OSHA compliance records. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Review and update environmental, health, and safety procedures to meet company and regulatory standards. Develop and implement health and safety plans according to OSHA and EM385-1-1 guidelines. Promote safety policies, ensure compliance with OSHA and Department of Defense regulations, and conduct employee safety training. Establish, review, and revise safety programs and policies regularly. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions. Act as the company's contact with insurance carriers and participate in site visits with loss control representatives. Manage workers' compensation claims and maintain related records. Provide toolbox talks and safety training to crews. Maintain MSDS and first-aid kits, and oversee safety recognition programs. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Maintain accurate safety records, including incidents, inspections, and training data. Work Environment The primary work involves supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. The role may require working in offices, facilities, or construction sites, with travel for project kick-offs and audits. The employee must use safety equipment and be prepared for potentially hazardous or stressful situations. The role requires minimal supervision, flexibility, initiative, and professionalism, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
