Lead the Legacy at Embassy Suites Rockford as our General Manager!
Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our full-service hotel and conference center located in the heart of downtown Rockford.
Set along the Rock River, our all-suite property offers more than just a place to stay-it's a destination. Guests enjoy two full-service restaurants, a seasonal rooftop bar, gaming room, indoor pool, and spacious suites, all within walking distance of downtown shops and attractions. With 160 guest rooms, 12 meeting rooms, 14,000 square feet of event space, and an additional 20,000-square-foot conference center, we host everything from weekend getaways to major corporate events.
In this role, you'll oversee daily hotel operations, food and beverage service, sales strategy, conference center logistics, and financial performance-leading with a hands-on, people-focused approach. We're looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires their team, and takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct all hotel departments, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and team performance
Drive revenue growth across rooms, food & beverage, and event spaces, optimizing KPIs such as ADR, RevPAR, and GOP
Oversee food & beverage operations, including two restaurants, catering, room service, and bar programs
Manage conference center operations, including logistics for meetings, weddings, and large-scale events
Collaborate with the sales team to attract group and corporate business
Monitor financial performance, review P&L statements, and align operations with budgetary goals
Lead the budgeting process and capital planning for the hotel and conference center
Maintain strong community relationships and serve as the hotel's public-facing representative
Coach, mentor, and support departmental leaders and hotel staff, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability
Uphold brand standards and ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance across the property
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of hotel management experience, including food & beverage and large-scale event oversight
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage budgets, drive revenue, and lead with strategy and service
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Availability for weekends and holidays as needed
