Job Title: Assistant Manager
Essential Function Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in these areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Primary Duties
Brand (30%) : Supervise and support associates' daily goals and activities to deliver excellent customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and foster customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, and dress code. Act as the main contact for customer issues, analyze store trends, and anticipate customer demands.
People (30%) : Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results. Recruit actively, identify strengths and opportunities for associates, and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations, resolve concerns, and foster diversity and inclusion.
Operations (30%) : Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening and closing procedures, and ensure timely follow-through on directives.
Safety/Loss Prevention (10%) : Maintain a safe environment, enforce policies, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety and HAZMAT procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years or older
Preferred: 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
Preferred: 1+ year management experience
Effective team leadership and communication skills
Flexible scheduling availability
Cosmetology license desirable but not required
