Job Overview: As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading our entire on-site operation. You will manage relationships with all departments across the property to ensure company objectives are met. Our General Managers collaborate with Regional Directors and the Board of Directors to implement projects, address challenges, and provide quality service to residents. Your Responsibilities:
Provide management and leadership to the assigned property and book of business. Manage the functions of a team within a property while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods, and personnel. Act as liaison to ensure quality service is delivered, Board expectations are met, and respond promptly to questions/problems. Maintain knowledge of the contract between the association and FirstService Residential, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. Initiate contact with new residents. Oversee all construction projects and ensure property maintenance/improvement projects are completed on time and within budget. Create, maintain, and upload information in our portal including work orders, meeting minutes, and reports. Interview, select, hire, train, and schedule staff, ensuring proper coverage. Provide guidance and resolve problems. Manage association finances, including financial statement review and understanding. Develop and manage the annual budget for the Board of Directors' approval. Handle association accounting needs, including invoice payments, audits, tax payments, budgets, and delinquency monitoring. Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in property operations, hospitality, or construction. Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Certified and licensed by the State of Florida for Community Association Management (CAM). Critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows. Excellent organizational, leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Knowledge of Florida Statutes and community documents. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs following safety procedures. Ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. Respond to emergencies promptly. Work in various environmental conditions. Maintain a valid Driver's License. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm What We Offer: Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits including multiple medical plans, dental, vision, paid holidays, time off, and a 401k with company match.
