About the Role

The Company is in search of a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to establish and lead the HR function for its growing organization. This pivotal role involves building the HR infrastructure from the ground up, including the development of policies, systems, and tools to support a multi-entity, multi-state workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, from compliance and payroll to talent development and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include overseeing payroll and benefits administration, ensuring employee relations and compliance with labor laws, designing and implementing talent management strategies, and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a proven track record in progressive HR roles, with a focus on building HR infrastructure and teams. Experience in high-growth or PE-backed organizations is highly valued, as is a strong knowledge of HR disciplines. The role requires the ability to work independently, operate with ambiguity, and implement structure in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. While not mandatory, experience in construction, field services, or related blue-collar environments is preferred. The Vice President of HR will also be expected to support M&A integration work as the company continues to grow through acquisition.
