In this role, you'll be responsible for the inspection, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of our fleet - including cars, trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment. You'll help keep the Cooperative operating efficiently and reliably, ensuring that our vehicles are safe and road-ready every day.
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, brakes, batteries, lights, tire work, belts, hoses, and more.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a wide range of equipment.
- Keep maintenance records and track operational costs.
- Use specialized equipment including engine analyzers, torches, grinders, and recovery units.
- Deliver emergency repair support and uphold all safety standards and regulations.
- Keep the shop and workspaces clean and hazard-free.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade/vocational training in automotive/light truck repair is a plus.
- ASE Certification (A1, A4, A5, A6, A7) required.
- 3 years of experience as a fleet mechanic.
- Valid NC Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.
- Your own complete set of standard and metric tools.
- Employees must reside or be willing to relocate within a 25-mile radius of EnergyUnited's Statesville office location.
