Mechanic
to join our Operation Services team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of our fleet - including cars, trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment. You’ll help keep the Cooperative operating efficiently and reliably, ensuring that our vehicles are safe and road-ready every day. What You’ll Do:
Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, brakes, batteries, lights, tire work, belts, hoses, and more.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a wide range of equipment.
Keep maintenance records and track operational costs.
Use specialized equipment including engine analyzers, torches, grinders, and recovery units.
Deliver emergency repair support and uphold all safety standards and regulations.
Keep the shop and workspaces clean and hazard-free.
What You’ll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade/vocational training in automotive/light truck repair is a plus.
ASE Certification
(A1, A4, A5, A6, A7) required.
3 years of experience as a fleet mechanic.
Valid NC Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.
Your own complete set of standard and metric tools.
Employees must reside or be willing to relocate within a 25-mile radius of EnergyUnited's Statesville office location.
