About Specialty Kraft Converters, LLC
Specialty Kraft Converters (SKC) is a privately owned domestic supplier of insulation vapor retarders and facings. We primarily supply residential building insulation manufacturers with printed and asphalt coated paper substrates. The manufacturing plant schedule is 7AM 7PM and 7PM 7AM, 4 to 5 days per week.
Summary/Objective
The Shipping & Receiving Department Attendant is responsible for all aspects of loading outbound shipments and unloading inbound shipments. The position requires good organizational and scheduling skills along with the ability to communicate well with management and freight carriers. Timely shipment and unloading of orders are essential to the business while operating in a safe and efficient manner. The attendant must also maintain accurate recordkeeping of all goods shipped and received.
Work Day
This is a
Day Shift Position
7 am 3:30 PM, 5 days per week (Monday Friday). Given the nature of this role, additional hours would occasionally be required. Overtime is calculated daily for work over 8 hours. Up to 2 hours of OT may be required daily based on production and shipping/receiving schedules.
Compensation
The starting rate of pay for this position is $24.00/HOUR. Overtime is calculated at 1.5 times the hourly rate for all hours worked over 8 hours daily.
Essential Responsibilities
Stage all materials to be shipped utilizing either a sit-down forklift, roll clamp lift, pallet jack or other material handling equipment. Review all shipping and receiving documents for accuracy. Inspect packaging for integrity and be certain that labels are affixed per customer specifications. Load outbound shipments onto trucks and trailers ensuring security by using proper dunnage and strapping supplies. Receive all materials which arrive while being certain that they are received in good condition and the packing slips match the part and quantity as outlined within the Purchase Order on record. Maintain a Shipping and Receiving Log. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carrier representatives. Maintain raw material inventory in designated W/H areas using the FIFO practices. Immediately report any damaged goods to management and document the same on Bills Of Lading. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies. Responsible for assisting and monitoring the
delivery/offloading
of coating materials in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains the coating delivery driver check-in/check-out log. Monitoring of asphalt tank levels and reporting daily to management. Identifies NON SFI Compliant paper rolls and places them in the assigned segregated area. Prepares small packages and arranges shipment utilizing shipper software. Inspects forklifts and material handling equipment daily. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Assists with office cleaning tasks as time allows.
