As a Plumbing Foreman, you'll oversee the installation of plumbing systems on construction projects. You'll supervise a team of plumbers and apprentices, coordinate with project managers and other trades, and ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, plumbing codes, and safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions Lead the daily activities of the plumbing crew, assigning tasks and monitoring progress. Review the Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) with the crew daily; ensure all safety and PPE requirements are met. Review and interpret plumbing blueprints and specifications to guide field installations. Supervise and delegate job site tasks according to project plans and schedules. Coordinate with GC Site Supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and avoid conflicts. Create accurate material lists and submit them in advance to avoid delays; manage inventory and deliveries. Perform inspections and quality control checks to ensure installations meet plans, specs, and plumbing code. Mobilize plumbing equipment and materials; report any shortages or issues. Submit daily Foreman Logs, including photo documentation of whiteboard and accurate crew hours. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, site conditions, material needs, RFIs, and safety notes. Conduct daily toolbox talks and whiteboard planning sessions to align the team and plan for changes. Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to apprentices and junior plumbers. Serve as the on-site contact for plumbing inspections and coordination with other trades and site supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site. Lead by example, including performing plumbing tasks as needed to support the crew.

Required Skills and Experience Valid RI Journeyman or Master Plumber license (state-specific requirement). Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role as a Plumbing Foreman in a commercial or construction setting. Strong understanding of plumbing codes, systems, tools, and materials. Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English to complete necessary paperwork and interact with clients, inspectors, and project teams. Valid driver's license in good standing with an acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions

Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud Evening and/or early morning, and/or weekend/holiday hours periodically Will work both indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold to very hot and humid
