About the Role

Aquila Technology is seeking a CMDB Specialist to support one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The role involves CMDB administration, inventory control, service mapping, and service observability through the SolarWinds platform. The candidate will ensure IT assets, configurations, and service dependencies are accurately tracked in the CMDB to support decision-making and incident resolution. This role requires interaction with system administrators and CMDB users, using appropriate terminology. Experience with ITIL processes, ServiceNow CMDB administration, and service monitoring/observability tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive data quality standards and implement process improvements
• Maintain an accurate representation of assets and services in ServiceNow
• Respond to user questions and update documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards

• 1 year - Agile Methodologies
• 3 years - Program / Project Management OR Analysis
• 3 years - Reviewing Specification Requirements
• 2 years - Translates Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
• 2 years - Understands and Executes Project Requirements
• Excellent Problem Solving
• Strong customer service skills and communication
• 3 years - ServiceNow IT Service Management
• 4 years - ServiceNow Multi-Source Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administration
• 2 years - Software Tools
• 2 years - ServiceNow
• 4 years - Basic understanding of IT System Administrator processes & terminology
• 2 years - Writing / Editing
• 2 years - Technical Documentation

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Application and infrastructure monitoring (system performance, troubleshooting)
• Current or higher security clearance
