Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, performing routine accounting tasks, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and complies with relevant regulations and company policies. The Staff Accountant will work closely with other members of the finance team to support the company's financial goals.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
- General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Financial Reporting: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Audit and Compliance: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.

- Special Projects: Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferably in corporate accounting environment
- Experience in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary
The annual base salary for this role is between $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for a variable bonus and company equity.
