Business Analyst Job at TalentBridge in St. Louis

Overview

As an IT Business Analyst you’ll review, analyze and evaluate IT systems operations and act as the bridge between business users and engineering/development teams. You’ll translate business needs into clear technical requirements, write user stories, track issues, and produce artifacts such as wireframes and process flows to help teams deliver solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, define and document business/technical requirements and user stories.
• Ensure user stories meet INVEST and current best practices.
• Liaise between stakeholders, product owners and development/engineering teams.
• Identify, document, report and track system issues; perform impact analysis across systems and dependencies.
• Create wireframes, screen captures and explanatory documentation.
• Coordinate communications and maintain project documentation.
• Provide and accept constructive feedback to improve project outcomes.

Required skills & experience

• 5-10 years of business analysis experience, practiced in Agile and Scrum.
• Strong stakeholder management — ability to “read the room” and decide when to push or work behind the scenes.
• Experience writing user stories and requirements; familiarity with INVEST.
• Basic technical background in Salesforce (able to write requirements for Salesforce integrations).
• Comfortable working in an agile environment (blend of waterfall & agile).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other Office tools.
• Self-motivated and able to independently research and drive clarity.
• Experience with Large-business clients — Telecommunication, Video, Internet and Hosted Voice services

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• BPMN / process modeling experience (Visio or Lucidchart)
• Jira project management experience
