You will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems (hardware and software) to SCDOR employees.
Primary job duties include:
- Providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems (hardware/software) via phones, walk-ins and emails with a focus on security of taxpayer data
- Logging all technical assistance and support requests into agency's ticketing system
- Monitoring and maintaining ticketing to ensure resolution within established service level agreements (SLA)
- Creating reports and dashboards of tickets and SLA's
- Assisting in maintaining agency's technology related asset inventory databases
- Creating and updating documentation and procedures within the section as well as documentation for our change control process
- Training and assisting in training of other technicians
- Leading, assisting, and participating on teams and special projects
Either:
- A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems OR
- An associate's degree in a related field OR
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a HelpDesk environment
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 10 and higher Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Outlook, PC hardware, printers, scanners, computer peripherals and mobile devices.
- Excellent communication skills
