The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University seeks a student-centered academic advisor to support student success, course selection, and academic/career goals. This position advises engineering students concerning their academic plans, progress, and goals to assist them in making personal education decisions and meeting graduation requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three to five years of previous experience in collegiate academic advising or a related field such as student services, counseling, or higher education administration.
Master's degree in College Student Development, Engineering, Academic Advising, STEM Education, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Experience with student information systems such as Oracle-People Soft KSIS and DARS, SSC-Navigate (Student Success Collaborative) or comparable systems.
Demonstrated competence in both in-person and online advising and enrollment systems.
Adherence to strict confidentiality and other ethical standards.
Ability to meet deadlines, be detail-oriented and prioritize tasks.
Adaptability to changes in policies, procedures, and advising processes.
Sponsorship eligibility:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
