Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a

Specialist, Information System Security III for a potential opportunity providing critical cybersecurity expertise in support of NIWC Atlantic. This

Key

position is

required for Orals

and will play a vital role in ensuring information systems meet strict security and compliance standards in a classified environment.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Five (5) years of practical experience with a bachelor's degree,

OR

seven (7) years with a High School Diploma/GED in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E), or Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/Certification & Accreditation (C&A).

Cybersecurity Expertise:

Working knowledge of the

Risk Management Framework (RMF)

process and/or prior experience with

DIACAP . Experience with

Information Assurance tools

such as:

DISA

Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

May be required to hold an

Interim Security Control Assessor qualification .

Policy & Compliance:

Familiarity with security policies and guidance to prepare and maintain

process artifacts

and

traceability documents

for

Authority to Operate (ATO)

compliance. Ability to evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for processing up to classified information. Skilled in supervising or maintaining the

operational security posture

of an information system or program. Experience assisting in developing

system security policy

and ensuring compliance with

change management

and

configuration control

processes.

Certification Requirements

Must hold

Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III

certification (e.g., CASP+, CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

Support the planning, implementation, and assessment of cybersecurity measures to protect information systems. Guide project teams and stakeholders regarding RMF, DIACAP, and ATO compliance requirements. Utilize eMASS and ACAS to track, assess, and report on system vulnerabilities and security controls. Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and system administrators to maintain system accreditation and security posture. Participate in oral presentations as a

Key personnel representative

for NIWC Atlantic proposals.
