Overview
Senior Systems Administrator / Support Engineer
Location: Buckley, WA 98321 (Onsite, with remote flexibility)
Compensation: $85,000 — $115,000 D.O.E.
Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shift, On-Call Rotation
This position will work directly with customers and partners, providing expertise in hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, and configuration recommendations for complex systems and structures. This position reports to the CTO. It is a senior-level, very hands-on role, requiring the ability to balance the pressures of advanced technical problem-solving, escalations, and client support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advanced installation, support, and maintenance of physical/virtual servers, networking, and enterprise systems.
- Serve as highest-level helpdesk escalation support, resolving advanced issues to end-user satisfaction.
- Document Everything
- Plan and coordinate system utilization, growth analysis, and capacity planning.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS, and GPOs.
- Set up, configure, and manage HaloPSA, including workflows, integrations, and administration.
- Administer NinjaRMM for monitoring, patching, and remote management.
- Manage advanced Office 365 Administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
- Administer Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft Endpoint Management (Intune/SCCM).
- Provide firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain SOPs, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer-facing support (Windows, macOS, server environments).
- Troubleshoot advanced networking, VoIP/SIP, SAN storage, virtualization, and backup solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical client/system support.
- Travel to customer offices as needed (mileage reimbursed).
Qualifications
- 7 years of progressive IT experience (Systems Administration, Server Engineering, or MSP work).
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- HaloPSA (setup, configuration, and ongoing management).
- NinjaRMM or equivalent RMM tools.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Windows Server roles.
- Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
- Microsoft Azure / Entra ID.
- Endpoint Management
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox).
- Firewalls and networking
- PowerShell and scripting for automation.
- Backup, recovery, and DR solutions.
- Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
- Excellent documentation and SOP writing skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
Other Requirements
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursed for travel).
- Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.
