Travel Unit Details: Advanced Care Unit: Typical patients are heart failure, chest pain rule out, NSTEMI, post -procedure patients, COPD exacerbation, drug/ETOH overdose and withdrawal. RN’s must be competent to run IV drips such as heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, cardizem, etc. • Daily average census: 31 • Navy Blue Scrubs Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Cardiac Telemetry Telemetry Respiratory Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac* High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)* Nasal Cannula Gastrointestinal Feeding tube care and management* Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry -on the unit monitoring Use of Rapid Response/Code teams* Endocrine/Metabolic IV insulin protocols Titration of Insulin drips Cardiovascular Post Cardiac Angiogram Post MI Pre/Post Cardiac Cath Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery* IV therapy/Phlebotomy Starting and maintaining IVs Medications Titrate Cardiac drips Will take 13-20 week duration No Local talent About LER Healthcare
