Job Title: Office AdministratorJob Description

This position involves working with staff to ensure the utilization of available resources for the safe and cost-effective transport of shipments. The goal is to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve company objectives.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails and in-person inquiries, and take messages.

Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, and coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operations.

Create and maintain detailed manifests for deliveries, shipments, or appointments, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and updated in a timely manner.

Proactively research and verify the operating hours of partner businesses, vendors, or clients to facilitate effective communication, scheduling, and service planning.

Perform data entry and update logistic databases and systems.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Clerical and office experience within industrial or services sectors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a one-story industrial building, specifically within the office area. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm or 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The dress code is business casual, with jeans being acceptable.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
