Job Description:
The Data Instructional Coach provides leadership, training, and coaching support to instructional staff and administrators in the development and implementation of education plans for schools, student interventions, offices, and individual students (IAPs). This role assists schools and offices in establishing systems for continuous improvement, including data analysis, plan development, implementation, and progress monitoring. This is a Licensed, 10-month position, reporting to the School's Principal.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Completed Master's degree is required.
Certificates & Licenses:
Valid Virginia Department of Education Postgraduate Professional License required.
Experience:
Demonstrated job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Essential Functions:
Provide training, technical assistance, and support to schools in all aspects of student interventions (RtI, SST, IAP/ICAPs, etc.), including the implementation of tiered interventions, positive behavioral supports, universal screening, and progress monitoring.
Provide training, technical assistance, and coaching support to schools in all aspects of continuous improvement processes, including data analysis, plan development, and implementation monitoring (SEP, PDSA, etc.).
Support schools in the analysis of data related to student achievement and in the development of goals, objectives, and measures for SEP, PLP, and IAPs.
Ensure alignment and coordination of school improvement efforts through DEPs, SEPs, PLPs, IAP/ICAPs, and classroom-based continuous improvement processes.
Represent the school division with local, state, and federal agencies in matters related to continuous improvement and student interventions.
Coordinate division-level planning and coordination teams for education plans related to continuous improvement, RtI and SST systems, and IAP/ICAP.
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of evaluation data on the implementation of RtI/SST/student intervention frameworks and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Coordinate the development and implementation of school-based and classroom-based continuous improvement models through the use of Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) and other improvement tools.
Collaborate with central office staff to support continuous improvement efforts (PDSA, RtI, SST, SEP, IAP/ICAP, and related systems).
Lead the continued implementation and refinement of student intervention systems, including supporting documents, materials, and professional learning.
