Docketing Specialist - Compulaw Expert

to support their litigation team in a hybrid team setup within California in their LA office. This role is key to ensuring attorneys meet court deadlines across state, federal, and appellate courts.

What You'll Do as the Docketing Specialist - Compulaw Expert: • Maintain and update all litigation deadlines and court appearances using Compulaw • Review legal filings and correspondence to extract critical dates and enter them accurately • Monitor court rule changes and ensure compliance across California courts • Generate timely reminders, status reports, and matter updates as needed • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to maintain consistent, error free calendaring • Identify and rectify discrepancies in docket entries • Stay informed on Compulaw updates and implement best practices for docket management • Safeguard sensitive case information with strict confidentiality

Must Haves as the Docketing Specialist - Compulaw Expert: • At least five years of legal docketing or calendar management experience • Advanced proficiency with Compulaw docketing software • Thorough understanding of litigation workflows and court procedures across state, federal, and appellate levels • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time under tight deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to collaborate effectively • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience • Experience with legal case management platforms like iManage is a bonus

Nice to Haves as the Docketing Specialist - Compulaw Expert: • Prior experience supporting litigation teams in public agency or education law environments • Familiarity with additional docketing or case management systems • Process improvement orientation or experience leading calendar optimization efforts • Training or mentorship experience with junior support staff
