Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Nurse

Location:

Assignment Duration:

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, 3 shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our orthopedic medical-surgical unit. The unit specializes in the care of post-operative patients recovering from hip, knee, spine, and other orthopedic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care focused on postoperative patients.
• Engage in bedside shift reporting and safety rounding.
• Utilize AIDET principles for patient interactions to promote a caring environment.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have current BLS certification.
• Experience with post-operative patients is required.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is preferred.
